ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - Croatian Ambassador to the United Nations
Mario Nobilo forwarded a letter to UN Secretary-General Boutros
Boutros-Ghali on Tuesday, informing him of an incident in the
village of Kakma (in UNPA south), where Serb paramilitary formation
had blown up a part of the water installation which supplied water
to 150,000 people in the Zadar and Biograd areas.
Nobilo recalled that Kakma had been under Serb occupation
since the beginning of aggression against Croatia. Under the March
29 cease-fire agreement, Kakma was included in the so-called blue
zone, from which all members of the Serb paramilitary formations
and the Croatian army had to withdraw.
Stressing that the Croatian army had pulled its troops out of
the area, Nobilo noted that UNPROFOR tolerated the presence of
remaning Serb forces.
As long as the March 29 cease-fire agreement is not fully
implemented, similar terrorist acts by Serb occupying forces can be
expected, Nobilo concluded.
