MOSTAR, June 7 (Hina) - Six telephone lines were established today
in eastern Mostar on the left bank of the Neretva under control of
Bosnia-Herzegovina's army. The telephone lines were to be used by
citizens, said the Moslem (Bosniac)-Croat commission on postal and
telecommunication services after its session held on Tuesday in
western Mostar under the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) control.
It was also agreed that mail parcels could be delivered three
times a week from eastern Mostar to western part of the city from
which they would be sent further to their final destinations. The
members of the commission also discussed possibilities for making
plans on joint postal and telecommunications system for the entire
city of Mostar.
At today's session of the commission on radio and television
a suggestion was accepted on preparing the round table discussions
on future of the media in Mostar.
