MEDJUGORJE, June 7 (Hina/HABENA) - At the highway between the
Bosnian capital of Sarajevo and the Herzegovinian centre of Mostar
the bridges "Bijela I" and "Bijela II" (by-pass) will be
ceremonially opened on Friday, June 10, 1994, a spokesman for the
Spanish UNPROFOR battalion told the Herzeg-Bosnian News Agency
(HABENA) today in Medjugorje. "Bijela I" bridge is being
constructed by the Slovak and Spanish engineers, members of the
U.N. Protection Force (UNPROFOR), whereas "Bijela II" is being
built by the British peace-keepers.
Reconstruction of these bridges, destroyed during the war in
Bosnia-Herzegovina will facilitate traffic along the most important
road that connects Bosnia with the Adriatic coast.
