USORA, May 14 (Hina) - The Bosnian army and Serb forces exchanged
prisoners-of-war at a frontline in the Travnik area (60 km N.W. of
Sarajevo). The exchange was witnessed by British UNPROFOR members.
The Serb side released 22 defenders of Usora (12 Croats and 20
Moslems) in exchange for 30 Serbs and four bodies of killed Serb
soldiers.
According to the prisoners' testimonies, they were mistreated
and forced to do manual labour in the immediate vicinity of the
Usora defence line. Eleven of the prisoners, who have sustained
serious wounds, will be urgently evacuated to Croatia.
According to the Usora-based Croatian Defence Council (HVO),
Serb forces pounded the villages of Sivska, Alibegovci and Ularice
and HVO defence positions with mortar and tank fire on Friday.
