ZAGREB, May 2 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic,
currently visiting Chile, told Croatian television Monday night the
most important part of his visit to Chile was "the meeting with the
president of Chile, who is a great friend of Croatia and who
supported Croatia while he was a senator."
Chilean President Eduardo Frei "showed great interest in the
situation in Croatia, particularly in the peace process, in
economic cooperation with Croatia and Croatia's integration into
all processes in the European Union, the Council of Europe, and
international financial institutions," Granic said. He added he had
delivered to the Chilean president an official invitation to visit
Croatia, which he had accepted with pleasure.
