ZAGREB, May 1 (Hina) - Bosnian Serb forces attacked members of the
UNPROFOR Nordic Battalion with artillery, mortars and anti-tank
weapons near Tuzla, north-east of Sarajevo. The UNPROFOR soldiers
returned fire, reported the UNPROFOR information office in Zagreb
on Sunday.
Serb forces opened artillery fire at an UNPROFOR observation
post in Satina, near Tuzla, late Friday night, said an UNPROFOR
representative. UNPROFOR soldiers called for help their tanks, but
Serbs pounded the tanks with artillery, mortar and anti-tank
weapons.
The UNPROFOR soldiers responded with 72 tank rounds early
Saturday morning, as they were not sure from what direction the
attack was launched, said the source.
