ANKARA, April 5 (Hina) - A Croatian delegation headed by assistant
foreign minister Smiljan Simac began consultations with senior
foreign ministry officials of Turkey and Bosnia-Herzegovina in
Ankara on Tuesday on further joint activities aimed at implementing
the Washington agreement on establishing a Croat-Moslem federation
in Bosnia-Herzegovina and its confederal links with Croatia.
The delegations of Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina were today
received by Turkish foreign minister Hikmet Cetin.
During the talks, Cetin emphasized Turkey's full support for
the territorial integrity of Croatia, particularly in the light of
the latest UN Security Council resolution and the process of
reintegrating the UN-protected areas into Croatia. He reaffirmed
Turkey's willingness to support a political settlement in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, including its willingness to contribute troops to the
UN protection force and economic assistance for reconstruction of
Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
