BUCHAREST, Feb 15 (Hina) - On the second they of official stay in
Romania President Tudjman and the Croatian delegation visited the
Romanian Parliament where they met with President of the House of
Representatives Adrijan Nastase and Senate President Oliviu
Gherman.
Tudjman visited the House of Representatives which had been in
session. Nastase informed Tudjman that the Parliament was composed
of 14 parties and 460 deputies and that the main topics of the
ongoing discussion were the democratic development and economic
reform. He also said that all disagreements on the foreign policy
are solved in the Parliament and that general consensus between the
parties existed on foreign policy issues.
Later on, Tudjman received the Romanian Premier in his
temporary residence. They spoke about the settlement of the crisis
in former Yugoslavia, as well as the improvement of economic
relations between Croatia and Romania which is one of the main
topics in the visit to Romania.
This evening, Tudjman is scheduled to visit the Croatian
embassy in Bucharest where he will also meet with the
representatives of the Croatian community in Romania.
