GRANIC AT SESSION OF HERZEG-BOSNIAN PARLIAMENT'S HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

REPRESENTATIVES LIVNO, Feb 8 (Hina) - The Special Envoy of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic, urged today's emergency session of the Herzeg-Bosnian Parliament's House of Representatives to achieve "the full unity of all Croats". "In the name of the Croatian President and in my own name, I call you to embrace unity of purpose, to overcome differences and to support the Croatian state policy," said Granic. Commenting on Mate Boban's resignation, Granic commended Boban's decision as "wise and honourable". "We thank Boban for everything he has done for the defence and survival of the Bosnian Croats," said Granic. "We would like to leave the war behind us and to rejoin Europe, which is our future ," said Granic, adding that "the Croatian-Moslem relations were now revealed as a key to the resolution of the crisis". Granic called on the Moslem leadership to resume peace talks. However, the Moslem offensive on Central Bosnia was a big obstruction to the renewal of the Croatian-Moslem alliance, said Granic. "The Republic of Croatia is ready to support the integrity of Bosnia-Herzegovina. By that we mean the Union of Bosnian Republics and not some neboulous concept. From now on, the Moslems will have to state clearly what they want," said Minister Granic. Warning about the Moslem extremists' threats to cut Croatia in two, Minister Granic stressed that Croatian extremism was not acceptable either. 081541 MET feb 94
