MORTAR ROUNDS HIT OGULIN CRISIS AREA

KARLOVAC, Feb 6 (Hina) - The Serb terrorists, located in the occupied village of Sajevac, opened fire at Mekusanski Lug in the Karlovac crisis area (some 50 kilometres south of Zagreb) on Sunday, whereas the Serb aggressors, situated in Blatnice, carried out armed assaults on Recica at the same time, reported the local command of the Croatian Army. The Serb rebels carried out provocations in the surroundings of Matesko Selo on the Duga Resa battlefield, according to the same report. The Serb terrorists in the Ogulin crisis area (some 60 kilometres south of Zagreb) fired several 60mm and 82mm-mortar rounds at the location of Kapela. Afterwards the Serb terrorists' commando group opened fire at the positions of the Croatian Army. The villages of Grabova Kosa and Radosici in this crisis area came under anti-aircraft weaponry fire of the Serb aggressors, said the same source. A lull ensued on these battlefields after UNPROFOR had been informed of the armed assaults. No casualties were reported among the Croatian Army's soldiers. 062226 MET feb 94
