SECTOR WEST: MEETING BETWEEN UNPROFOR AND CROATIAN REPRESENTATIVES

REPRESENTATIVES $ BJELOVAR, Feb 4 (Hina) - A meeting between UNPROFOR representatives for Sector West and a delegation of Croatian Governmental Office for relations with UNPROFOR in that sector was held today in Pakrac (some 100km E of Zagreb). However, the anticipated topic on the implementation of Security Council resolution, which includes the deployment of peacekeeping forces on internationally recognized borders of Croatia in sector West, was postponed for next week when all representatives of UNPROFOR's Main Headquarters will arrive and who be able take up responsibility for the resolution's implementation. Instead of the announced UNPROFOR's delegation and the Sector's head, the meeting was attended by assistants of leaders of the peace mission in western Slavonia without having proper authorization. The Croatian delegation consisted of the most responsible civil and military representatives headed by Milivoj Tomas from the Governmental Office for relations with UNPROFOR and Vladimir Delac, Director of civil affairs in the sector. 042125 MET feb 94
