VUKOVAR, Nov 17
(Hina) - Sixty-five persons have been tried for war
crimes committed in the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar during the
aggression and occupation by the Yugoslav army (JNA) and Serb
paramilitaries in 1991, of whom four have been acquitted, while
proceedings have been dropped against 27 persons due to lack of
evidence or because the accused died during investigation or trial,
the county prosecutor's office in Vukovar said on Thursday.
