(Hina) - Addressing the U.S. Congress on
Monday, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs
Phillip Gordon pointed to Croatia as a country successful in
democratic transition, in regional cooperation and in the completion
of its accession talks with the European Union, which he said was why
it could serve as a model for the future of southeastern Europe.
