KARLOVAC, Jan 7 (Hina) - Josip (43) and Evica (40) Sepac, of Knez
Gorica in UNPA North, were shot dead by 7.65mm bullets on 2 January
1994, said Karlovac Medical Center authorities after performing an
autopsy on the orders of Attorney Dragutin Novosel.
The medical findings confirmed that both of them were killed
while standing. Nine bullets were found in Josip's body. The
killers hit him with a blunt instrument after he had fallen, which
caused a skull fracture.
Evica was also killed by gun shoots. According to the
Attorney's Office in Karlovac, the UNPROFOR Civil Police did not
react immediately. Serbian authorities in the Karlovac occupied
area tried to cover up the murder and buried the bodies the day
after the murder. The Attorney's Office said the murder would be
discussed at Croatian-Serbian negotiations in Turanj on January 11.
