SPLIT, Jan 7 (Hina) - In connection with a statement issued by the board of editors of the Feral Tribune (Split-based weekly) about the arrest of the weekly's editor-in-chief, Viktor Ivancic, head of the municipal defence department Mladen Perisic said on Thursday afternoon that Viktor Ivancic had been called up as any Croatian citizen might have been. "Ivancic is a Croatian citizen, he is draft eligible and his compulsory work order expired when he stopped working for the Slobodna Dalmacija. The mobilisation order was regular, it bore no date because such orders never do," explained Perisic. Perisic said personal revenge was not involved.
