ZAGREB, Jan 6 (Hina) - General Jean Cot, the UNPROFOR commander,
suggested today at a press conference in Zagreb that the
international community should create special international forces
for rapid interventions. He thinks that more effective system of
realization of the UN Resolutions could be established by that.
Talking about the situation in Central Bosnia, General Cot
said it is very difficult, especially for civilians. This was
caused by continued conflicts in the region of Gornji Vakuf, Vitez,
Busovaca, Fojnica and Visoko. General Cot expressed his hope that
presidents Tudjman and Izetbegovic may be able to reach a cease
fire agreement which will be implemented.
He also said that General Francis Briquemont, the Commander of
the UN troops in Bosnia, did a lot and that it will be difficult to
do more.
