MOSTAR, Jan 5 (HBNA/Hina) - A 34-truck UNHCR convoy, which has left
Metkovic for Zenica and Tuzla on Wednesday morning, was stopped at
an Croatian Defence Council (HVO) border check-point, said the
Herzeg-Bosnian Government Office for co-operation with UNPROFOR,
European Union and international organizations in the afternoon.
According to the same source, the UNHCR did not inform authorities
of the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia about the convoy and it
did not request for consent of the mixed commission which
representatives are participants of international humanitarian
organizations and Herzeg-Bosnian Government Office for refugees and
displaced persons.
Herzeg-Bosnian authorities will allow the passage of the convoy
when UNHCR fulfills necessary conditions for it.
