(Hina) - The first status conference in the Goran
Hadzic case, held on Thursday afternoon before the International
Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), focused on
preparations for the trial against the former Croatian Serb rebel
leader indicted for the persecution of thousands and the killing of
hundreds of Croats in occupied Croatian areas during the 1990s
Homeland War and a number of other crimes, including abuse,
destruction and plunder.
