SARAJEVO, May 25 (Hina) - Bosnian Serb forces resumed mortar and
artillery attacks on Sarajevo at 19.00 hours today.
Sarajevo radio reported that two people had been wounded by
shrapnel and another two by sniper fire.
A grenade exploded near the Presidency building and Serb
forces fired several shells at Bosnian army positions on the
Debelo Brdo hill, the scene of fierce fighting yesterday.
Bosnian Federation vice president Ejup Ganic told reporters
this evening that the Serb attacks were aimed at the Hrasnica
suburb and a TV tower on the Hum hill.
Ganic welcomed today's NATO air strikes against Serb
positions at Pale, saying they prevented the UNPROFOR mandate
from further erosion.
He called on the UN to ensure the reopening of Sarajevo
airport in an equally resolute manner.
