ZAGREB, May 2 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman said
yesterday that Croatian citizens could barely wait for free and
unimpeded traffic to resume along the Zagreb-Lipovac highway.
"Therefore, we shall ensure that," Tudjman said in an
interview with Croatian television during his evening stroll in
Zagreb's central square.
"I'm receiving telegrams and letters from Croatian citizens
who are enthusiastic to join Croatian army forces. Our troops will
ensure normal traffic to the satisfaction of our citizens," he
said.
Tudjman said that the main part of the highway operation would
be completed today.
