MOSTAR, Apr 7 (Hina) - The heads of the Franciscan Herzegovina
Province today disassociated themselves from last Sunday's incident
in front of the Mostar Cathedral, when a group of irate believes
forcibly took Bishop Ratko Peric away from the Bishop's palace.
The believers were protesting the Bishop's recent decision to
ban the Franciscans from preaching in Mostar parishes.
"No Franciscan has taken part in these incidents or incited
any individual or congregation to engage in disruptive behaviour,"
the Franciscans said in a statement.
The statement stressed that problems should not be resolved in
the way it had been done so far, but by "fraternal dialogue."
