ZADAR, April 7 (Hina) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development (EBRD) today granted a 20 million DM long-term loan to
Dalmatinska Banka in Zadar.
A preliminary contract had already been signed, and the final
signing was expected in June, said the director of Dalmatinska
Banka, Neven Dobrovic.
The EBRD awards loans under strict terms for a period of seven
years, said Dobrovic.
Dalmatinska Banka would invest the loan into private companies
or companies in the final stage of privatization, on condition that
they had good programmes in Croatia.
Loans would be granted mainly for the development of
agriculture, food processing industry, and transport and trade
related to agricultural production.
