ZAGREB, March 31 (Hina) - Croatian ambassador to Algeria and the
Magreb countries, Vinko Kandzija, yesterday visited the general
secretary of the UMA (union of Magreb countries, Morocco, Algeria,
Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania with headquarters in Rabat) Mohamed
Amamou, the Foreign Ministry announced in a statement.
They discussed the political discussion in Croatia,
particularly Croatia's position in view of the status of the new
peace forces.
Amamou said that Croatia could not have placed itself in any
other position than the one which it had taken and that it was
Croatia's right as a member of the U.N.
Kandzija, at the Morocco foreign ministry, talked with the
general director of the European division Boubker Cherakou who was
particularly interested in the functioning of the Bosnia-
Hercegovina Federation.
