ZAGREB, March 30 (Hina) - The Croatian government today supported a
program for restructuring the state-owned oil company INA.
"INA is suffering from the same problems as the entire
Croatian economy, and therefore it's time for its restructuring"
Prime Minister Nikica Valentic said.
The INA restructuring program has three stages. The first
stage, which is already in progress, includes legal restructuring.
The second stage would last for several years and would concentrate
on organizational and financial restructuring, while the third
stage would focus on the privatization of the company.
Privatization Minister Ivan Penic said that INA's capital
assets were valued at over two billion German marks. The final
assessement would be made before the beginning of the third
restructuring stage.
