ZAGREB, March 29 (Hina) - Croatian Government officials and World
Bank representatives are holding talks regarding a loan of 100
million USD to restructure firms and banks .
The talks are in the final phase and are to continue in
Washington in two to three months time.
Oliver Gordon, the leader of the World Bank mission for
Croatia, today held a press conference in Zagreb where he discussed
this project called EFSAL.
He said that the conditions for granting a loan to reorganize
banks and firms included: the adoption of a privatization act, an
investment funds act, and ammendments to banks acts. Another
condition was that the agency for the reorganization of banks
commence its activities.
