SERBS CONTINUE SHELLING CIVILIAN TARGETS IN NORTHEAST BOSNIA

SARAJEVO, March 29 (Hina) - UN military observers reported that the situation had calmed down on most fronts in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the last 24 hours. UN Protection Force spokesman, Herve Gourmelon, said today that scaled-down fighting was registered at Mount Majevica (overlooking Tuzla), and that Bosnian Serbs were still in control of the television relay at Stolice hill. The Bosnian Army's Tuzla-based 2nd Corps said today that another two Serb tanks and their crews had been destroyed in clashes on Mount Majevica. They also said that Serbs were shelling civilian targets and towns in northeastern Bosnia. A UNHCR convoy carrying 133 tonnes of aid yesterday arrived in Bihac in west Bosnia, UNHCR spokesman in Sarajevo, Kris Janowski said on Wednesday. (hina) mm sd mms 291658 MET mar 95
