ZAGREB, March 15 (Hina) - Croat refugees from the Banja Luka area
of northwestern Bosnia today wrote to 45 international political
and humanitarian organizations appealing for the salvation of
people who remained in Serb-held northwestern Bosnia-Herzegovina.
In their appeal, 410 refugees of Ivanjska asked humanitarian
agencies to evacuate remaining non-Serb civilians to a destination
out of Serb control.
Since the outbreak of war in nortwestern Bosnia, at least 800
Croats had been killed, 70 Catholic churches had been damaged or
devastated and people who remained to live there had been in
constant fear of their lives, the letter said.
