ZAGREB, March 10 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister, Ivo
Sanader, today signed three bilateral agreements with Greece - on
the cancellation of visas, extradition and cultural and educational
cooperation, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"The mutual cancellation of visas, which will take effect in
mid-April, is of great political significance," the statement said.
Greece invited President Tudjman to visit Athens, which was
accepted with pleasure, the statement said.
Sanader and his hosts, Foreign Minister Carolos Papoulyas and
his deputy Georgios-Alexandros Mangakis, also discussed bilateral
relations, which they agreed were "good" and "developing".
Particular attention was paid to Croatia's joining the
European integration processes, which Greece fully supported.
It was agreed that Greece could play a constructive role in
seeking a peaceful solution to the crisis in former Yugoslavia,
particularly in the peaceful reintegration of Croatia's occupied
areas.
Papoulyas and Mangakis confirmed that Greece would use its
influence with Zagreb and Belgrade to help the two sides arrive at
mutual recognition.
