TOMISLAVGRAD, March 5 (Hina) - Head of the Islamic religious
community in Bosnia, reis-ul-ulema Mustafa Ceric, and Bosnian
Federation Interior Minister, Bakim Alispahic, today visited
Tomislavgrad to celebrate the great Moslem holiday of Ramazan
Bajram.
The pair was accompanied by member of the Party of Democratic
Action (SDA) executive committee, Osman Brka.
Tomislavgrad is situated in a HVO (Croatian Defence Council)-
controlled part of Bosnia-Herzegovina, called Herzeg-Bosnia.
"It is a joy to us to be able to visit Moslems in Tomislavgrad
- to see you have stayed here and maintained an Islamic community,"
Ceric said at the packed Tomislavgrad mosque.
Ceric stressed the need for the Moslem-Croat Federation to be
brought to life as soon as possible, because it was of vital
interest to both Croats and Moslems.
He advised the Moslems to establish good relations with their
Croat neighbours.
"Today, I have seen and heard something wonderful here in
Tomislavgrad - the muezzin's voice mingling with the church bells,"
Ceric said.
"There is no Bosnia without muezzins and church bells," he
concluded.
The Moslem delegation is to visit Livno this afternoon.
