ZAGREB, Feb 28 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic today
received a delegation of the European Union of Christian Democrats
(EUCD) led by European Parliament member Wim van Velzen, a Foreign
Ministry statement said.
Granic described the situation in Croatia, particularly in
occupied territories, and explained reasons behind the decision to
end the UNPROFOR mandate.
Croatia did not want a war and would not respond to any
provocation, except in the event of attacks on civilian targets,
Granic said.
He added that Croatia was soon to present a new model for
implementing the decision on canceling the UNPROFOR mandate and for
solving all problems which might arise in the process.
The EUCD delegation was also received by Croatian Parliament
Speaker Nedjeljko Mihanovic.
