BOSNIAN CROATS DENY SERB ALLEGATIONS ABOUT TERRITORIAL SWAPS

MOSTAR, Feb 13 (Hina) - In order to deny the Serb media frequent allegations about the exchange of Croatian territories in Bosnia- Herzegovina with Moslem territories the presidential council of Herzeg-Bosnia today issued a statement to reject such rumours. The statement stressed that "fresh incentives of foreign factors to and the constructive efforts aimed at the implementation of the Washington Accords, which have recently been confirmed also by the establishment of the Posavina Canton (northern Bosnia), are the targets of the aggressors' propaganda and their special war". The Serb media has recently published more and more often allegations on the swap of the Croatian and Moslem areas. For example, it has been alleged that Kiseljak would be swapped for Bugojno, so that the Croatian inhabitants in the wider central Bosnia area will be disturbed. Such deliberate allegations have been issued in order to provoke the conflict between the signatories of the Washington Accords, Croats and Moslems. Thus, Serbs would like to prevent any talks on the settlement to the crisis in Bosnia-Herzegovina and to retain the results of their conquest. Serb intentions can be confirmed by the fact that they are now deploying their forces on the fronts where the cease-fire is in effect, according to the statement. The statement said that Herzeg-Bosnia authorities adamantly rejected such allegations. "The Croatian side is resolute to consistently implement the assumed obligations and agreements regarding the creation of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and will not accept any other solutions, regardless who could propose them, the statement concluded.
