ZAGREB, Feb 7 (Hina) - The Presidency of the ruling Croatian
Democratic Union (HDZ) held an extended session Monday, chaired by
Dr. Franjo Tudjman, to consider the party's activities regarding
current domestic and foreign policies.
The HDZ Presidency stressed that the party's programme
policies devised at the HDZ II General Convention should be carried
out more resolutely and consistently, and emphasised the importance
of the persistent and determined implementation of State policies
concerning the peaceful reintegration of the occupied areas into
the Croatian constitutional and legal order.
The HDZ Presidency believes that full party and national unity
is necessary in the implementation of State policies.
The Presidency cared about each party member, but warned that
if anyone failed to abide by fundamental elements of HDZ policies
and the Statute, they should leave.
The HDZ party will be consistent in its engagement in the
future political and economic stabilization of Croatia. The party
fully supports the Government in carrying out the unanimous State
policies.
The HDZ Presidency holds that special attention should be
devoted to the programme of the social welfare in the State
policies, according to a statement issued after the HDZ Presidency
session.
