MOSTAR, Jan 13 (Hina) - The EU administration in Mostar today held
a press conference to introduce its ombudsman, Greek professor
Joanis Vulgaris.
Prof. Vulgaris, who was appointed by the EU Council, said his
task was to supervise the work of the EU administration in Mostar
and intervene if it violated citizens' rights.
EU ambassador Klaus Metcher said the EU administration had
still not received any information on an investigation concerning
those who fired a shell at the EU building last summer.
EU police commissioner Jan Myvogel said borders dividing the
Moslem-held eastern and Croat-controlled western sectors of Mostar
were stronger that those that separated the countries.
