ZAGREB, Jan 11 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and US
President Bill Clinton exchanged letters under a diplomatic
framework on views on the temporarily occupied Croatian areas and
the extension of the UNPROFOR mandate in Croatia.
President Tudjman sent his envoys to conduct diplomatic
consultations: Prime Minister Nikica Valentic was sent to Beijing;
Foreign Minister Mate Granic, to Paris and Bonn, Director of
Croatian Information Service (HIS), Miroslav Tudjman, and
Ambassador Miomir Zuzul to Washington, Deputy Foreign Minister Ivo
Sanader to London and Rome, Assistant Foreign Minister Ivan
Simonovic to Moscow and Ambassador Janko Vrranyczany-Dobrinovic to
NATO headquarters in Brussels.
They will inform the respective Governments and authorities on
Croatia's position on the problem of its temporarily occupied
territories and on UNPROFOR.
