ZAGREB, Dec 20 (Hina) - As an expression of paying respects and mourning for six representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) that were killed in Chechnya last Tuesday, ICRC shut down all operations in
Croatia on Friday, s statement from the Zagreb-based ICRC Office said.

Six of their offices in Knin, Vojnici, Split, Osijek, Beli
Manastir and Vukovar will be closed on Friday, the movement of the
personnel will be restricted to the minimum and flags will be flown
at half-mast.
A commemoration took place in the Zagreb Office on Friday.
"The ICRC stresses that the delegates symbolize all
humanitarian aid workers no matter where, no matter who - it is
the humanitarian world that has been attacked - and invites
everybody to join hands with the Red Cross Movement this Friday,
the Official Day of Mourning," the statement said.
