DUBROVNIK, 6 Dec (Hina) - Croatia's Privatisation Minister Ivan
Penic opened a conference of Central and Eastern European countries
on privatisation in Dubrovnik's 'President' hotel on Friday. The
conference is being held under the auspices of the World Bank and
European Commission.
The two-day meeting, which gathered about a hundred
participants from 23 countries, will focus on transition processes,
the privatisation of state property and foreign investments.
Speaking about what has been achieved in the privatisation
process in Croatia so far, Penic said that 55% of social capital
had been privatized with the participation of 600,000 shareholders.
