According to DSV President Ante Potrebica, the Government has
filed a request for disciplinary proceedings because of two grave
disciplinary breaches (inflicting damage on the Court's reputation
and judges' duty).
'Considering the fact that the Government has filed a request
for disciplinary proceedings against Olujic, who is the president
and one of the judges of the Supreme Court, which is the highest
court in the state, I find the Government's proposal that the
proceedings be conducted by the State Judicial Council itself more
than justified', Potrebica said.
Olujic agreed with Potrebica's proposal and suggested that the
whole procedure be public.
The decision on whether the procedure would be public or
conducted behind closed doors would be made at the beginning of the
hearing scheduled for 5 December.
According to regulations of the Act on the State Judicial
Council, grave disciplinary breaches can be punished with a
reprimand, fine or dismissal.
