FUZINE, 20 Nov (Hina) - A Croatian government delegation, led by
Premier Zlatko Matesa, on Wednesday visited the construction site
of the Zagreb-Rijeka motorway, at the section Ostrovica-Delnice
(some 110 km southwest of Zagreb), where construction works are
almost completed.
Premier Matesa said that the Ostrovica-Delnice section would
be opened for traffic in 15 days by the Croatian President Franjo
Tudjman.
By summer 1997, another 30-km-long section from Delnice to
Kupjak (in the direction of Zagreb) will be completed.
The government delegation included vice premiers Borislav
Skegro and Jure Radic, Defence Minister Gojko Susak and the general
director of Croatian Roads, Aleksandar Caklovic.
The government delegation was welcomed by the government
commissioner for Rijeka County, Zlatko Pavelic, and Rijeka County
Prefect Josip Roje in the tunnel Tuhobic, at the section Delnice-
Ostrovica.
