PRESIDENT TUDJMAN UNDERGOES FOLLOW-UP MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS IN WASH

WASH $ INGTON ZAGREB, Nov 15 (Hina) - The office of the President issued the following statement: November 15,1996 Statement from the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia Following a medical examination in Croatia, the President of the Republic of Croatia, Dr. Franjo Tudjman, is currently undergoing follow-up medical examinations at Walter Reed Medical Center in the United States, due to digestive problems. Medical examinations have revealed that the problem is due to a stomach ulcer and enlarged abdominal lymph nodes. The President feels well and continues to perform his duties, and is returning to Croatia at the end of next week.
