CROATIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS END VISIT TO HUNGARY

BUDAPEST, 12 Nov (Hina) - A delegation of the Croatian Parliament Committee for Foreign Affairs on Tuesday ended their two-day official visit to Hungary. Describing the visit, Zarko Domljan, head of the Croatian delegation, said that Hungary was one of Croatia's most important neighbors. Hungary was one of the countries which are to join the European Union and NATO in the first group of candidates. Croatia was still not in that group, but it was not far from it either. That was why the strengthening of ties with Hungary and through Hungary with Central Europe, was one of priorities of Croatia's external policy, Domljan said. That would be the answer to all those who were trying to link Croatia with the Balkans, which Croatia opposed and would never agree to, Domljan said. The strengthening of ties between Croatia and Hungary was one of the ways to oppose such tendencies, he added. The Croatian parliamentarians also met the Hungarian Parliament Chairman Zoltan Gall as well as the members of the Hungarian Parliament Committee for Foreign Affairs and officials of Hungary's Foreign Ministry. The Croatian delegation met members of the Croatian World Minority Administration in Hungary and visited the new building of the primary and secondary school with classes in the Croatian language in Budapest.
