PULA, Oct 25 (Hina) - The leadership of the Istria County on Friday
decided to initiate an administrative lawsuit against the Ministry
of Urban Development for issuing building permits for
infrastructure facilities for receiving and transport of coal to
the thermo-electric power plant "Plomin".
The Istria County had asked the Ministry to participate in the
process of issuing building permits for construction in the area
around Plomin thermo-electric power plants, but the Ministry made
no response. The Istria County asked that the procedure of issuing
the building permits be repeated.
Speaking about the issue, prefect Luciano Delbianco said that
it would be desirable if the town of Labin initiated a similar
administrative lawsuit, adding that it was important that all this
had been initiated before the Croatian Electric Supply Industry
(HEP) signed an agreement on continuing the construction of the
thermo-electric plant Plomin 2.
