During a recent meeting with EU foreign ministers, Garrod
spoke about problems concerning the return of displaced people. He
asked from EU ministers to exert pressure on Sarajevo and Zagreb
authorities so that the process of return could start, not only in
Mostar but in central Bosnia as well. (Bugojno, Vares, Fojnica and
other towns in the Croat-Muslim Federation).
During September, five persons had been evicted from their
flats in western Mostar - two Bosniacs, one Serb, one Montenegrin
and one Croat - Garrod said, adding that the stoning of vehicles
and passengers on the Boulevard road by eastern Mostar residents
continued.
