LJUBLJANA, Aug 30 (Hina) - Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek
said on Friday that "a step backwards" had been made in the
Slovenian-Croatian relations, but he expressed hope that there was
no change in Croatia's foreign policy towards Slovenia.
The relations between the two countries were still burdened
with the problem of Ljubljanska Banka Zagreb, Drnovsek told a news
conference in Ljubljana.
Slovenia was not going to return the deposits of Croatian
citizens who had had accounts with the Zagreb branch of Ljubljanska
Banka because Croatia had incorporated them in its own public debt,
he said.
