Dayton had to be respected and any violation of its accords
would not be tolerated, Solana told reporters after talks in the
Bosnian Presidency, stressing that he would convey the same message
to Bosnian Serb leaders.
Solana called all Bosnian citizens to, instead of turning to
the past, start looking forward to the future.
Bosnian Federation deputy President Ejup Ganic, who was also
pšresent at the talks with Solana and General George Joulwan,
representing the central authority bodies, said that Moslem
authorities would support and allow the return of refugees to all
those places for which IFOR or any other organization drafted
special plans.
Ganic stressed that the pilot programmes of return had not
given any significant results, but all refugees had to be ensured
full right of return.
NATO fully supported such stances, Solana said.
Solana and Joulwan also met with Bosnian Federation President
Kresimir Zubak and travelled to Pale in the early afternoon.
