ZAGREB, June 22 (Hina) - A Croatian Parliament delegation led by
Parliament president Vlatko Pavletic laid a wreath at the Altar
of the Homeland in Zagreb on Saturday marking the Day of
Antifascist Struggle in Croatia.
After the ceremony, Pavletic wrote in a book of comments:
"May all those rest in peace who in the struggle against fascism
had in mind an independent Croatia."
Representatives of the Federation of Antifascist War
Veterans, the Social Democratic Party, the Action of Social
Democrats and the Social Democratic Union laid wreaths at the
tomb of national heroes in Zagreb's main Mirogoj Cemetery.
Delegations of the Federation of Antifascist War Veterans
and the Social Democratic Party also laid wreaths at a memorial
site in Dotrscina.
