BRUSSELS, June 19 (Hina) - NATO and WEU (West European Union) ships on Wednesday stopped their task of supervision in the Adriatic sea, after Tuesday's decision of the presiding Security Council to abolish all orders of embargo on
importing weapons for countries in the region of former Yugoslavia.

Thus, operation "Sharp Guard" was terminated.
NATO and WEU will remain ready if the United Nations reimpose
economic sanctions in line with the UN Security Council resolution
1022.
The resolution stipulates the imposition of sanctions for
Yugoslavia and Republika Srpska if they do not act in line with
commitments signed in the peace agreement for Bosnia-Herzegovina.
