MOSTAR, June 11 (Hina) - The European Union deputy administrator
for Mostar, Klaus Metscher, said on Tuesday he was concerned
about the security situation in the town in southwestern Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
Metscher told a press conference that the EU administration
had contacted the NATO-led peace Implementation Force (IFOR) and
the International Police Task Force to draw up concrete plans to
guarantee security before and on the day of municipal elections
scheduled for June 30.
Mostar's EU administrator, Ricard Perez Casado, left for
Florence on Tuesday to attend a meeting of the council for
implementation of the peace accords in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Metscher said that Mostar would be one of the topics
dicussed at the Florence meeting.
