Both delegations stressed their agreement as regards equal
rights of the states which emerged after the break-up of former
Yugoslavia, as well as their readiness to cooperate, but without
forming any associations.
The head of the Committee for Foreign Affairs, Ilinka
Miteva, proposed that both Croatia and Macedonia ask from the
international community to stop using the term 'former
Yugoslavia'. A member of the Croatian delegation, Zdravko Tomac,
said that Serbia and Montenegro did not have the right to retain
the name 'Yugoslavia'.
The Croatian delegation was also received by the President
of the Macedonian Parliament, Tito Petkovski. The meeting
confirmed mutual interests in intensifying the cooperation.
