ZAGREB, June 5 (Hina) - Cooperation between NATO's peace
implementation force (IFOR) and the Croatian government has been
excellent, the outgoing IFOR logistics commander, US General Bill
Farmen, said in Zagreb on Wednesday after talks with Croatian Prime
Minister Zlatko Matesa.
This mission is very important to us and we have managed to
achieve more than we could anticipate, which was to a great extent
the merit of the Croatian prime minister, Farmen said.
Matesa also expressed satisfaction with results of the IFOR
mission, particularly with the implementation of its military
aspects.
Farmen was returning to the United States and the newly-
appointed logistics commander, US General Charlie Kennan, was
expected in Croatia in early July.
