ZAGREB, May 24 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa on
Friday received the incoming Philippino Ambassador to Croatia, Jose
A. Zaide.
Both parties expressed their interest in intensifying trade
cooperation.
Philippino shipping companies were particularly interested in
unloading the goods destined to European markets at Croatian ports
instead of northern-European ones, which would cut transport time
by as much as seven days, Zaide explained.
Matesa suggested that Philippino tourists visiting the
Medjugorje shrine could rest after their devotions in one of
Croatia's seaside resorts.
The Philippino Ambassador today also met the President of the
Parliament, Vlatko Pavletic.
